J-Palm Liberia manufactures natural food, skincare, and hair care products from palm oil and palm kernel oil. J-Palm has recently launched its “Kpatawee Fresh” Red Palm Oil brand and is recruiting a Head Buyer to ensure an adequate supply of Palm Oil for its operations. The Head Buyer will primarily be stationed at the company’s sub-office in Gbarnga, Bong County, and will be responsible for all raw material purchases within the county.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research, choose and purchase quality palm oil
- Build relationships with reliable suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing
- Ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels to facilitate business performance
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
- Provide leadership, coordination, and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained to achieve the operational and financial goals
- Ensure that all transaction records are properly and accurately maintained
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related fields
Experience working in rural communities in Liberia is a plus
